Overview

Start with the Derraroge Bog walk which is located on the outskirts of Lanesborough. Visitors can enjoy a scenic and very peaceful area with picture perfect views of the woodlands and uncut bog. You’ll be walking through a bio-diverse habitat which makes it a great place to explore.  Stop off at Cloondara for a well-deserved lunch and then continue the second part of the tour on the Royal Canal with a beautiful walk to Keenagh taking in historical old bridges and locks and finally finishing the walk through Mosstown, passing Mosstown House an old castle that dates back to Norman times.
